Introducing Session Gems
Your post-session highlights package for the whole party: a Hero Award for every player, the Key Moments that defined the session, and the Memorable Quotes your group is still laughing about.

Session Gems is your post-session highlights package for the whole party. Once Archivist finishes analyzing a session, there is a Hero Award for every player, the Key Moments that complement those awards, and the Memorable Quotes from the game.
What's Included
- •Hero Awards: one for every player. Something heroic, or something they deserve to be roasted for.
- •Key Moments: the scenes that defined the session. They complement Hero Awards by covering the whole party or the narratively significant turns, like an NPC betrayal.
- •Memorable Quotes: the lines that were hilarious or simply epic, the ones your group is still laughing about.†
Rebuilt behind the scenes: Hero Awards and Key Moments are not new, but the engine behind them is. We overhauled how Archivist finds the moments that matter, so you get better extraction, better quality, and better writing in every award and moment.
† Memorable Quotes now have a dedicated Memorable Quotes page for each campaign, plus a Quotes tab on player character pages and Session Details pages.
Mechanics
- •Who gets it: all users, including trialers, for all sessions and in every language Archivist supports.
- •Formats: every campaign format, including audio upload, Discord live (where Session Gems replaces Discord G.E.M.S.), and every other way you capture a session.*
- •Opt in: new campaigns have Session Gems on by default. If you are an existing user, opt in under Campaign Settings. Already opted in to Discord G.E.M.S.? You are already opted in to Session Gems.
- •Optional: switch Session Gems off any time in Campaign Settings. You can still create Session Gems yourself whenever you like: from the Actions Hub, from a Session Details page, or from the new Memorable Quotes page.
- •Timing: about 10 minutes after your session ends.
* Memorable Quotes are not generated for Raw Notes sessions. Those sessions still get Hero Awards and Key Moments.
Where to Find Them
- •In Artifacts: every Hero Award, Key Moment, and Memorable Quote is saved to the Artifacts tab in your Archivist campaign.
- •In your inbox: everyone receives a dedicated Session Gems email.
- •On Discord: if you play on Discord, they also land in the channel you choose for that campaign.

What is Session Gems?
Session Gems is the post-session highlights package from Archivist AI. Once Archivist finishes analyzing a D&D or TTRPG session, there is a Hero Award for every player, the Key Moments that complement those awards, and the Memorable Quotes from the game, all saved to the Artifacts tab in your campaign.
Who gets Session Gems?
All users, including trial users, for all sessions, in every language Archivist supports and every campaign format, including audio upload, Discord live recording, and every other way you add a session. Existing users opt in with the Session Gems setting in Campaign Settings. If you already opted in to Discord G.E.M.S., you are already opted in to Session Gems.
How do I turn on Session Gems?
New campaigns have Session Gems on by default. If you are an existing user, open Campaign Settings and switch on Session Gems.
Can I turn Session Gems off?
Yes. Session Gems is optional. Switch off automatic Session Gems at any time in Campaign Settings, and you can still create Session Gems yourself for any session, from the Actions Hub, a Session Details page, or the Memorable Quotes page.
Where do I find my Session Gems?
Everyone receives a dedicated Session Gems email, and every Hero Award, Key Moment, and Memorable Quote is saved to the Artifacts tab in your campaign. If you play on Discord, they also post to the channel you choose for that campaign.
How long does Session Gems take?
Session Gems arrive about 10 minutes after your session ends.
What changed in Hero Awards and Key Moments?
Hero Awards and Key Moments are existing features, and the engine behind them was overhauled. Archivist now has better extraction of the moments that matter, higher quality results, and better writing for every award and moment.
Where can I create Session Gems manually?
From the Actions Hub, from any Session Details page, and from the new Memorable Quotes page. Memorable Quotes also have a Quotes tab on player character pages and Session Details pages.
Do Raw Notes sessions get Memorable Quotes?
No. Raw Notes sessions get Hero Awards and Key Moments, but Memorable Quotes are not generated for them.
Does Session Gems replace Discord G.E.M.S.?
Yes. Session Gems replaces Discord G.E.M.S., the Discord-only highlights post released in March 2026, and it now covers every campaign format, not only Discord.
